For a brief period of my life, my feelings of what it meant to “be me” was completely lost. I felt that being a full time working parent SUCKED. Simultaneously, the days were chaotic and robotically monotonous. My kids were peeing and crapping on everything I owned. 20% of the food I ate probably had their spit in it. And whatever minuscule amount of energy I had left, work demanded it.

Balancing the extremely complex mix of work and kids is no small feat. You mask it all with half cracked smiles and exorbitant amounts of caffeine. On the worst days, cry in the pantry, repetitively chanting to yourself, "I’M OKAY”, while simultaneously stuffing Oreos down your gullet. Somewhere along the way, your life no longer becomes your own. In fact it belongs to everyone else BUT YOU.

TO BE SUPER CLEAR. THIS IS NOT A MOM BLOG.

I’m not hating on mom blogs (I am a mom after all). I am also not saying, throw away your kids, start a rebellion at work and live a responsibility free life. That’s not what this blog is all about.

I’m saying it’s time for me to REALLY enjoy me. It’s time for some self care and getting back to the core of who I was before everyone else took over. So between the hours of 8-11pm when my kids are drooling all over their precious Toy Story 4 pillow covers, I will be working on this blog. Sharing my stories and hopefully inspiring you to give yourself a little self love and do something that’s uniquely you.

IT’S TIME FOR ME TO MAKE TIME FOR ME. WHAT ABOUT YOU?
