#1 TOP VACATION SPOT

When I say WOW, I do not mean it lightly. The food was amazing, the views were unreal, and the people were some of the nicest we’ve ever met. This was a bucket list trip and we splurged a ton of cash to go ALL OUT, making the trip extra special for us. We stayed at the boujee-est hotel I have ever been to, and took quite a few private tours to some breathtaking locations. The weather was super tumultuous so a lot of our photos look like a blizzardy mess. The few below that we took on a crystal clear day blew me away, so I can only imagine what the area would look like if the weather was kind. I will never forget this trip and highly suggest that you go ONCE before you turn into a potato.

Here we go:

The first two nights we spent in Reykjavík, the capital and largest city in Iceland. The food was excellent although rather expensive. It was pretty rainy and I was really unprepared for how cold and wet it was going to be. I should have been packing full snow suits, not leggings and trainers. I have no clue what I was thinking at the time!!!

We had an awesome photography session at Mink Viking Portraits that was very Game of Thrones-esque. It’s a small studio but the photographer was super professional and gave us memories to last a lifetime.

And for the icing on the cake we spent 4 nights at the Retreat Hotel. Because it was almost off season, I got a 4 nights for the price of 3 deal. It was turbo expensive, super boujee, and connected to the Blue Lagoon. It had it’s own private lagoon that you can dip in every day and had unlimited access to the spa. The spa had various sensory rooms similar to the spa in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Again, unreal experience. We didn’t get to see the Northern Lights because it was off season, but that just gives us a reason to go back one day! We took two private tours that let us choose our itinerary. The tour guides were beyond excellent and they really tailored the tour to our personal needs, making it EXTRA EXTRA special!!

So there we have it! My #1 Spot!

I hope you enjoyed these photos and I hope it inspires you the visit some of these places if you haven’t already! Cheers folks!
